How to get around Windhoek
Most international airlines fly into the Windhoek International Airport, Hosea Kutako. It has many cafes, duty-free shops as well as car hiring services. Walking around the city in daylight in the Central Business District is doable and you will be able to visit the markets and close by attractions. Taxis are available to travel around the city, but hiring a car for the day is the best option, especially if you want to travel a bit further. Parking is straightforward as you will come across parking attendees that you can pay to keep your car watched and safe.
The Morning
Start your morning off by visiting the Christuskirche church, which is an iconic tourist landmark in Windhoek that was completed in 1910, making it the oldest Lutheran church in Namibia. With iconic German neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque architecture, it is a beautiful place to visit and see. It is located in the middle of a roundabout and is adjacent to the Independence Memorial Museum and the AlteFeste. It has large beautiful stained-glass windows and a tall bell clocktower. A visit to the Independence Memorial Museum will be a great way to learn about the country’s anti-colonial and independence struggles. The museum is host to many materials and memorabilia related to Namibia’s anti-colonial resistance and armed liberation struggles.
The Afternoon and Evening

With a lovely view from here, you will be able to see the whole city and catch a wonderful sunset.
The Night
